The Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) has extended its support to Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta after she accused Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct. Referring to an incident that took place on the sets of Horn OK Pleassss in 2008, the association released an official statement.
On Tuesday, CINTAA took to Twitter and shared the statement regarding Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar.

According to the statement, the decision taken back in July 2008 “was not appropriate as the chief grievance of sexual harassment was not even addressed”.
“Although it was a different Executive Committee at that time, yet as CINTAA we find it highly regrettable and no apologies can suffice, hence we must resolve today to never allow such lapses to occur again. CINTAA stands strongly for the dignity and self-respect of its members,” the statement further read.
CINTAA went on to appeal the authorities “to take cognisance of Ms Dutta’s statements and conduct an impartial and speedy enquiry so that truth and justice may prevail”.
Meanwhile, Tanushree has said she has not got any legal notice from the actor’s lawyer, adding that she was not afraid of him either.
The former Miss India said in a statement, “I am putting together a team of lawyers and advocates to defend my interests. Also contrary to claims made by Nana’s lawyer, I have not received any legal notice. So Bluffmaster Gogo needs to step up his game a bit here.”
