Actor Alia Bhatt, who will be next seen in period thriller Raazi, is all praises for Deepika Padukone, who will be playing the role of Rani Padmini in the upcoming film, Padmavati.

In a recent podcast, Alia was asked about the upcoming historical drama and she was all praises for the film, especially the gorgeous Deepika, who apparently impressed the Highway actor the most.

According to Alia, Deepika justifies the her role of fierce yet elegant queen Padmini. Alia said she won’t be able to step into the shoes of Deepika in Padmavati.

“I’ve not seen her performance yet but I saw the trailer, I think Deepika as Padmavati was fabulous and she just looked like a queen and I know I can never look like that or act like that. I also told her that ‘you are so lovely and so inspiring’. I just know she is going to nail it in the film. I’m really looking forward to this one,” Alia said.

Deepika Padukone has been receiving immense appreciation from the fans and B-town for her latest film, which is one of the most anticipated productions of 2017.

On October 25, the first song of the film, Ghoomar, was released by the makers and Deepika has been receiving tonnes of appreciation for grasping the folk dance moves so well.
