Karan Johar on Netflix’s ‘Adolescence’: Calls it a ‘wake-up call’ for parents

Varun Dhawan who turned 31 on Tuesday (April 24) was busy shooting for his upcoming film Kalank. He posted a picture on his Instagram handle that he has sacrificed his cake this year as he was working with Alia Bhatt for Kalank.

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story and it suggested that Varun Dhawan has cheated on his diet already. Varun is seen cutting his birthday cake in the video even as Alia Bhatt sings ‘Happy Birthday’ song for him.
The crew of Kalank made him feel special by bringing in a cake for him. Even the official handle of Dharma Productions shared the video.

Earlier in an interview session, Varun talked about working with Alia Bhatt once again, saying: “It is very important for you to choose the right film to come with a right pair. People expect a lot from us. Kalank is very special for Karan Johar’s Dharma Production as it has been in the making since 2004. I feel special to be part of it.”
The shooting of the film has already begun. The film is slated for release next year. Apart from Kalank, Varun Dhawan has Sui Dhaaga: Made in India alongside Anushka Sharma in his kitty.
