Actor Vicky Kaushal brightened the festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi with a heartfelt visit to the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on Thursday morning. Decked out in a pastel blue shirt paired with blue jeans, Kaushal greeted fans with warmth and enthusiasm, taking the time to wave and pose for photos with those who gathered to catch a glimpse of the star.
Lalbaugcha Raja, renowned for its magnificent displays, serves as a significant hub during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, attracting countless devotees who come to seek blessings from the revered Ganesh idol. The idol, presented by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, was unveiled to the public on September 5, marking the beginning of one of Mumbai’s most anticipated celebrations.
Established in 1934 and located at Putlabai Chawl, the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal has been a cherished site for more than 80 years. The Kambli family, who have overseen the idol’s management and celebrations for generations, continue to uphold the rich traditions associated with this auspicious event.

The Ganesh Chaturthi festival began on September 6 and will have celebrations over ten days, culminating in Anantha Chaturdashi. During this time, devotees from across India and abroad bring Ganesh idols into their homes, offer prayers, and visit the vibrant pandals that decorate the city.
As Vicky Kaushal participated in the festivities at Lalbaugcha Raja, the excitement surrounding his upcoming film, ‘Chhaava’, was palpable. This historical drama, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, features Kaushal in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The teaser, which dropped earlier this week, has garnered widespread enthusiasm, with his wife, Katrina Kaif, praising it on Instagram as “raw, brutal, and glorious.” Fans eagerly await the film’s release on December 6, 2024.
This busy period for Kaushal follows the recent premiere of his film ‘Bad Newz’, which launched on July 19, 2024.
