After opening up on a decade old incident of sexual harassment, actress Tanushree Dutta has now disclosed another incident when she had to suffer harassment. This time, she has named filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who the former beauty queen alleges asked her to “strip and dance” to give cues to actor Irfan Khan for a close-up shot. This incident took place on the sets of Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets in 2005.
In an interview to DNA, Tanushree opened up about the experience and praised Irrfan Khan and Suneil Shetty who stood up for her. “This guy (Vivek Agnihotri) wanted me to give cues to an actor (Irrfan Khan). It was an actor’s close-up. It was not even my shot. I was not even going to be in the shot. It was the actor’s close-up and he had to just look at something and give expressions. This director, he told me jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho, usko cues do,” Dutta said in the interview to DNA.

She said Irrfan Khan spoke up for her. “The male actor had to shoot back at the director saying, ‘I don’t need her to take off her coat and dance for me to give facial expressions. This was Irrfan Khan. I really appreciated that he actually spoke up like that because it was his close-up shot.”
Suniel Shetty, another actor who was present at the sets, too got offended on hearing such words and said, “Main aayun kya wahaan cues dene ke liye? (Should I come there to give the cues?).”
“Yeah ofcourse, there are good people in the industry. Both, Irrfan Khan and Suniel Shetty spoke up. Suneil scolded that guy,” she concluded.
Tanushree Dutta, who had first raised the allegation against Nana Patekar in 2008, brought up the issue once again in a recent interview.
Bollywood celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, and Hansal Mehta, among many others, have spoken up in favour of the actress.
