Kartik Aaryan and Diljit Dosanjh lit up the ‘Dil-luminati’ stage in Ahmedabad
Kartik Aaryan surprises fans in Ahmedabad by joining Diljit Dosanjh on stage during his 'Dil-luminati' concert.
Director Luv Ranjan, who has given us enough reasons to chuckle over urban relationships in Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel, is back with a new rom-com that goes by the tongue-twisting name of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
And that’s where the confusion ends because once we see the vivacious trailer we know what the title means because Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) plots plans and connives to tear his best friend Titu (Sunny Singh) apart from Titu’s beloved Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha).
The plot seems a subverted interpretation of Jane Austen’s fiction where the heroines would scheme to tear alliances apart for matters of the heart.

Ranjan shrugged off all proximity to Jane Austen and said: “My film is actually an endorsement of the urban reality on marriages. It used to be said that two families get married when marriages are arranged. But where are the families now?
“The couple’s family in the city is their close friends. In my film, the guy in love is anxious that his sweetheart gets on with his best friend. It’s a classic contemporary urban paradigm.”
Looking at the trailer and its leaping colours and music, dance and revelry compounded by an undercurrent of wicked machinations, this film promises to provide us with a new rom-com experience this February.
