Somy Ali opens up about Deepika Padukone facing mockery over depression
Actress and activist Somy Ali has recently opened up about the challenges Deepika Padukone faced during her battle with depression.
Shetty has already worked with Deepika in Chennai Express. Meenamma was the name of Deepika’s character in the film.
Just a week is left for the wedding of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Ever since the couple announced their wedding, their fans are unable to control their excitement of seeing their favourite couple walk down the aisle.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh has joined hands with director Rohit Shetty for Simmba, which is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. The behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from the film have already created curiosity among the audience.
Shetty reminisced his Simmba journey as the shooting came to an end on Tuesday. He shared an emotional note, in which he wrote about his journey and his experience of working with Ranveer.

His post read, “6th June 2018, Exactly 5 Months ago today, the journey of Simmba began and as this adventourous journey ends for our Simmba a.k.a. Sangram Bhalerao, I am filled with mixed emotions. Simmba being our first film together, was full of fun, laughters and unending memories. It’s truly been wonderful knowing him as a person and as an actor who is honest hard working and so passionate about his craft. I can vouch today that no-one else could have been a better Simmba than Ranveer Singh making Simmba (as my team says) My best film so far.”
The director also wished the Deepika and Ranveer for their wedding and said, “I am proud to showoff today that my Simmba is marrying my Meenamma!!! I Wish them all the luck for a blissfully beautiful future together.”
