Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth have married in a charming temple ceremony. The couple shared their joy with stunning wedding photos on social media.
While the audience is appreciating the trailer of the biopic of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, actor Siddharth has pointed out the derogatory remarks against South Indians. According to the actor, the Marathi trailer has “glorified hatred.”
On Wednesday, Siddharth took to Twitter and called out Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is playing the lead role, while pointing out a few dialogues in the Marathi trailer. In a scene, the actor could be seen referring to South Indians as “saale andu-gundu.” While delivering a speech in a rally, the actor says, “Uthao lungi, bajao pungi.”
The Rang De Basanti actor slams the makers and calls Thackeray a “propaganda film.”

His subsequent tweet is directed at the casting of Siddiqui as the Shiv Sena supremo. “Poetic justice is when a Muslim actor from UP gets to play the part of the revered Marathi bigot in a propaganda film,” it reads.

Meanwhile, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has also conveyed their objection on a few dialogues in the film. Tushar Karmakar, Regional Officer of CBFC told India Today, “Some audio-modifications were suggested in the Marathi trailer of the film Thackeray. These have been mutually agreed upon by the filmmaker and CBFC. Report has been shared with the filmmaker. There are no visual cuts, two audio modifications have been suggested in the Marathi trailer.”

On the other hand, producer and writer of the film, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told News 18, “Just like Balasaheb was controversial, but his thoughts gave direction to the country, the movie on Balasaheb too will be like that. We will show what he was like. This is not a love story. There will be no cuts or changes.”
Directed by Abhijit Panse, Thackeray will be released in Hindi, Marathi, and English languages on 23 January 2019.
