Director Shiv Rawail takes the helm for an upcoming YRF spy universe film starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. Exciting espionage awaits in this action-packed collaboration.
Director Shiv Rawail, known for ‘The Railway Men,’ is set to helm a spy universe film featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, produced by Aditya Chopra, according to Variety.
In the yet-to-be-titled film, Alia and Sharvari will portray super agents. Rawail, who previously served as an assistant director on Yash Raj Films’ ‘Dhoom 3,’ starring Aamir Khan, and ‘Fan,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, made his directorial debut with the studio’s 2023 series ‘The Railway Men,’ as reported by Variety.
Production of the film is scheduled to commence this year. Positioned as the first female-led spy-universe film under YRF, it continues the spy universe initiated by producer Aditya Chopra with the Tiger franchise, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), and ‘War’ (2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. ‘Pathaan,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was a significant Indian hit in 2023, while ‘Tiger 3’ also achieved Top 10 status.
