Bollywood’s ‘desi girl’ Priyanka Chopra has been making headlines since Saturday as she got engaged to American singer Nick Jonas. The ceremony was a private affair and the two made it official by sharing their roka pictures on the social media.
A large number of people from the entertainment industry congratulated the couple. Shahid Kapoor, the co-star of Priyanka, wished while promoting his upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

In an interaction with the media, he said, “Many, many congratulations to Priyanka and Nick. Marriage is a beautiful thing, I can say that from my experience and I wish her all the best.”
Though the two never made their relationship official, the rumours were rife that Shahid and Priyanka dated each other for years and parted ways on a bitter note. However, both have moved out of the phase and are happy in their lives. Shahid married Mira Kapoor who is pregnant with their second child.

Priyanka and Shahid worked together in films Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahaani. On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently promoting his upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shraddha Kapoor while Priyanka has The Sky is Pink alongside Farhan Akhtar.
