Madhuri Dixit breaks silence on quitting films after marriage
Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit gets candid about moving away from films in 1999, at the zenith of her career, following her marraige.
Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt have been taken on board for Abhishek Varman’s next. Karan Johar has managed to rope in the actors to make their comeback together for his next production.
Late Sridevi was part of the film and it was named as Shiddat which also had Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. But, Karan Johar clarified that the film is still untitled.

His tweet read, “Some clarifications!!! Yes…we are honoured and humbled to have @MadhuriDixit on board for @abhivarman ‘s next! NO the film is NOT titled SHIDHAT! Yes the film will commence shoot in mid April! The film’s final cast and credits will be announced soon!

The film is slated to hit in 2019. A source said, “Yes Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt have agreed to work together for the film and it is indeed the best news in the longest. Even since Madhuri came on board, everyone was wondering if she would be willing to work with Sanjay, owing to their controversial past. But after much back and forth and some discussions, both the actors have given their nod.”
The film will roll next month and the makers are aiming to release it in April 2019. Still, there is no official confirmation from the makers and Karan Johar.
