The official trailer of the much-awaited period thriller, Raazi, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, is out and it gives a peek into an intense journey of Sehmat aka Alia, which may leave you in an emotional state.

In the trailer, Sehmat aka Alia Bhatt is assigned to be an Indian spy by her father as she gets married to a Pakistani army officer played by Vicky Kaushal. Alia is shown as an obedient daughter, a perfect wife, and a fearless spy.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer shows different sides of Sehmat. In the action-packed moments, as she is trained to be a spy in Pakistan, we will also witness some softer moments between Alia and Vicky.

Here’s the trailer:

On her 25th birthday (March 15), Alia had shared a few glimpses of her character Sehmat. In the first still, Alia sported a light blue tee and a maroon jacket deep in conversation with another character. In another still, Alia was donning a grey burkha with an intense look on her face.

The first poster that was revealed on April 9 features Alia Bhatt and Rajit Kapur with ‘A daughter’ written on it. Sehmat aka Alia is seen seeking blessings from her father.

In the second poster, Sehmat aka Alia plays the role of a wife. Alia and Vicky are seen lost in each other’s eyes with a smile on their faces.

In the third poster, Sehmat is seen as a spy. Donning in a light blue salwar kameez with an intense stare, Alia will leave you spell-bound with her looks.

Raazi is directed by Meghna Gulzar, and the story is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat. The film is slated to release on May 11, 2018.
