John Abraham’s Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran fared decently in the opening weekend by collecting Rs 20.7 crore.
The film, which is based on the first nuclear bomb tests conducted in 1998, opened to an average response at the box office on its opening day by earning Rs 4.82 crore.

However, owing to its strong word of mouth, the film witnessed substantial growth over the weekend and fared comparatively well than many other releases of 2018.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Parmanu earned Rs 8.32 crore on its first Sunday, thus taking the total three-day collection of the film to Rs 20.78 crore.
Despite limited promotions, IPL final and multiple films already running in cinema houses, John’s home production did pretty well at the box office in its opening weekend.
Now, the film is commencing its first week at the box office and today’s collection is very crucial for the film as it will determine how the film will trend.
Directed by Abishek Sharma, Parmanu stars John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani in the lead roles and was released worldwide on May 25.
