The film dove headfirst into the gritty, often uncomfortable realities of substance abuse among the youth in Punjab. However, 'Udta Punjab' wasn’t without controversy.
“People think it’s funny, but it’s actually full of destruction. In one episode, Tom wrecks an entire house with a bat! It’s violent, seriously,” Akshay quipped.
The news came during what was otherwise a joyful time, as Priyanka was in the middle of celebrating her mother Madhu Chopra’s birthday when the family was struck by the sudden loss.
In 'Aap Jaisa Koi', Madhavan plays Shrirenu, a quiet and somewhat old-fashioned Sanskrit teacher, while Fatima steps into the role of Madhu, a lively and free-spirited French instructor.

Directed by Raaj Aashoo, the cast of the film will also feature Illa Arun, Rajesh Sharma, Ali Asgar, Aditi Govitrikar, Upasna Singh and Sumit Gulati.
With "Hush Hush" as the working title, the series will also star Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Jhulka, Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna and Shahana Goswami in leading roles.
The actor, who was last seen on screen in "Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship", is currently shooting for his next titled "Sardar Udham Singh", where he plays the titular revolutionary.
