In a recent candid interview, Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui opened up about his unique perspective on the pursuit of work in the film industry. Nawazuddin, the acclaimed actor, expressed a profound reluctance to approach people for opportunities, stating that he lacks the strength to beg for work.

Siddiqui went on to make a bold declaration, asserting that if ever faced with a situation where he has no projects in hand, he would go to extreme lengths to pursue his passion for filmmaking. “I can’t come to you and say, ‘Give me work.’ I will sell my house, my shoes and everything and make a film on my own, I am so confident about that,” he declared passionately. According to Siddiqui, the essence of acting is crucial, but the medium, whether it be films, streets, trains, or buses, is secondary.

Nawazuddin actor clarified that it is not a matter of pride or self-worth for him to beg for work. While he doesn’t find it demeaning, he simply cannot bring himself to make such requests. Siddiqui emphasized that acting in films is not the sole avenue for his craft; he is willing to explore unconventional settings to express his artistic talents.

During the interview, Nawazuddin Siddiqui also shared a personal anecdote about his struggle with stammering in the past. He revealed that the speech impediment became a source of insecurity for him. However, as he achieved success and milestones in his career around 2005 and 2006, the stammering gradually faded away, suggesting a correlation between personal achievements and overcoming insecurities for the versatile actor.
