As the news unfolded, there was a notable response from the public and celebrities. Actor Varun Dhawan voiced his frustration over the intrusive behavior of paparazzi who were seen capturing images of those in mourning. On his Instagram Stories, Varun criticized the press, saying, “It is the most insensitive thing to point cameras in the face of people who are grieving, please.” He urged the media to consider the impact of their actions on those affected by loss, adding the hashtag #humanity to his post.

The Khan family, including Sohail Khan, and parents Salim and Salma Khan, also came to offer their support.

The Mumbai police have launched an investigation into Anil Mehta’s death. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Raj Tilak Roshan, the initial assessment suggests suicide, but the authorities are thoroughly examining all possible angles. Prima facie, it seems to be suicide, but we are conducting a full investigation,” Roshan stated.

Malaika Arora was not in Mumbai when the incident occurred; she was reportedly in Pune and returned to the city immediately upon learning of her father’s passing. The family continues to cope with their loss, seeking solace and privacy as they navigate this difficult period.
