Nikhil Nagesh Bhat has directed the film. The movie made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in August 2023, garnering praise from audiences.
The film was the sole Indian entry in the Midnight Madness program, a segment showcasing unconventional cinema.
According to Variety, ‘Kill’ falls into the extreme action genre, a rarity in Indian cinema. The storyline unfolds entirely aboard an express train bound for New Delhi, following Indian army commandos Amrit and Viresh on a mission to rescue Amrit’s girlfriend Tulika, who is being forced into an unwanted marriage. The situation takes a dangerous turn when over 40 bandits (referred to as dacoits in India) infiltrate the train, intent on robbery and abduction. Amrit and Viresh must protect Tulika and her family amidst intense, adrenaline-fueled action, facing off against the psychotic bandit Fani.
Tanya Maniktala also features in ‘Kill’. (ANI)
