Kriti Sanon on nepotism: ‘It’s not just the industry’s fault’

Kriti Sanon has enthralled everyone with her amazing performance in Bareily Ki Barfi, which became a sleeper hit in 2017 and earned recognition for the actress.
She received much love and appreciation for her performance. Now, the role has earned her bigger dividends. Kriti has won DadaSaheb Phalke excellence award 2018 for a memorable performance in the lead role (Female) for Bareilly Ki Barfi.
In the film, Kriti played the role of Bitti, a young and free-minded girl from a small town. The film was loved by audience and critics both. The story of the film is based on the French novel ‘The Ingredients of Love’ penned by Nicolas Barreau.

Besides Kriti Sanon, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, and Tamannaah Bhatia too have been chosen to be honoured with the prestigious award. Anushka is being honoured for producing three super hit films, NH 10, Phillauri and Pari under her home production Clean Slate Films.

Ranveer Singh will be honoured for his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. He has been chosen as the Best Actor this year. And Tamannaah will receive for her performance in film Baahubali: The Beginning.

The winners will be felicitated by Mumbai-based Foundation of Dadasaheb Phalke on April 21.
On the work front, Kriti is currently shooting for her upcoming film Arjun Patiala with Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma.
