It was announced last year that the Tamil blockbuster Kaithi starring Karthi will be remade in Hindi. However, the makers didn’t reveal the lead actor for the Hindi remake. Speculation was rife that the makers are considering to star Salman Khan or Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, but recently it was reported that Ajay Devgn has been signed for Karthi’s role.
And now, with his tweet, Ajay Devgn has confirmed that he will be playing the lead role in Kaithi.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kaithi is an action-thriller released in 2019.
On the work front, Ajay Devgn was last seen in historical drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. He will be next seen in Amit Sharma’s Maidaan, which is a sports biopic based on the life of football legend Syed Abdul Rahim. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India and Chanakya. The actor will be making his Telugu debut with SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
