Released on February 27, 1976, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ was a Yash Chopra directorial that brought together a star-studded ensemble including Amitabh Bachchan, Raakhee Gulzar, Shashi Kapoor, and Waheeda Rehman.

The film not only became a commercial success but also remains one of the finest musical romantic dramas of its time.
For Rishi and Neetu, the film marked a significant milestone in their professional and personal journey.
Taking to Instagram stories, Neetu Kapoor reshared a fan edit featuring herself, Rishi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan. She also posted a vintage poster from the film, capturing a cherished moment between her and Rishi.
The couple played Vikram Khanna and Pinky Kapoor, whose youthful love story formed a pivotal part of the narrative.
‘Kabhi Kabhie’ continues to evoke fond memories not just for fans but for its cast as well. Amitabh Bachchan, who portrayed Amit Malhotra in the film, once revealed an interesting anecdote on his quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

The veteran actor shared how director Yash Chopra instructed him to wear his own clothes for the role.
“Whatever clothes you see me wearing in the film are from my personal wardrobe. The team never returned them, and they haven’t retired them yet,” Big B humorously recalled.
He also reflected on the stark contrast between filming ‘Deewaar’ and ‘Kabhi Kabhie’. “I had just wrapped up ‘Deewaar’, full of action and intensity, and within two days, I was in Kashmir, surrounded by flowers and cool mountain air, filming a romantic story. It felt like stepping into a completely different world.”
For Neetu Kapoor, the anniversary served as a moment of remembrance — both for the film and for the enduring bond she shared with Rishi Kapoor.
