Shraddha Kapoor welcomes baby ‘Stree’ at her home
Bollywood diva Shraddha Kapoor, fresh off the success of her recently released horror comedy film ‘Stree 2’, shared an adorable update with her fans on Saturday, as she has welcomed a new pet.
In a recent interview, Junaid Khan opened up about his journey in the film industry, sharing insights about his auditions and the challenges he faced.
Despite his lineage, Junaid Khan candidly acknowledged, “If I was not Aamir Khan’s son, I would probably not have gotten ‘Maharaj’.”
Notably, he discussed his attempt to land a role in Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Junaid elaborated on his audition experiences, noting, “At times, you get some roles and you miss some. Yes, I did give auditions before ‘Maharaj’ too, but they didn’t happen.”

He revealed that while his father had discussed the ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ audition with him, the project was budgeted in a way that made casting a newcomer as the lead impractical. “The film was at a level where you wouldn’t cast a new actor as the lead,” he explained, indicating the tough realities for aspiring actors trying to break into the industry.

‘Maharaj’, Junaid’s debut film, is a historical drama directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment. The film features a talented cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari in a special appearance. The story is inspired by the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862 and draws from Saurabh Shah’s novel on the subject.
Originally slated for a theatrical release on June 14, 2024, ‘Maharaj’ faced hurdles when the Gujarat High Court intervened following a plea from a Hindu group. They raised concerns that the film could provoke violence against followers of the Pushtimarga Sampradaya, a Hindu sect. Ultimately, the film was made available for streaming on Netflix on June 21, 2024.
