In a recent interview, actress Huma Qureshi candidly shared her perspective on the film industry, asserting herself as a staunch supporter of Bollywood. Known for her roles in various films, Huma is set to appear in the upcoming Maharani Season 3.
When asked about the existence of internal politics and discrimination in Bollywood, Huma defended the industry, highlighting that such issues are prevalent in all sectors. She emphasized that while every industry has its flaws, it is unfair to single out Bollywood.

“I consider myself a big defender of Bollywood,” Huma stated. “Every field has its challenges, be it favoritism or limited opportunities. If we start scrutinizing every industry, we’d find similar issues everywhere. Human nature comes with complexities, and expecting a flawless world is unrealistic.”

Reflecting on her personal journey, Huma acknowledged facing her share of struggles in Mumbai over the past 12 years. “Nothing is perfect,” she remarked. “I’ve had moments where I couldn’t even secure an audition, faced financial constraints, and relied on the support of friends. But these are common hurdles for anyone starting out. Despite the challenges, the industry has given me so much, and I am forever grateful.”
In Maharani Season 3, Huma will be joined by a talented cast, including Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, Sushil Pandey, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sohum Shah. The series is scheduled to premiere on March 8, exclusively on SonyLIV.
