The long wait is over and the trailer of much-awaited film of 2019 — Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is out. The film stars Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Juhi Chawla. The father-daughter duo will be seen together for the first time in this film.
The two minute and 20 seconds trailer begins with Rajkummar Rao narrating the play in which he tells the story of a girl he fell for — Sonam. The Punjabi family is looking for a suitable boy for her but Sonam is not ready to say yes to any. After denying all the proposals, Sonam says she has a secret to be told, which makes her parents turn against her. In the end, the film throws a hint that Sonam is in love with a girl.
It would be interesting to watch how the Punjabi family will accept the tabooed secret of their daughter.

The first poster of the film was released on Anil Kapoor’s birthday which displayed the love between father and daughter. Before the trailer, the makers released another poster revealing the characters from the film. Have a look at the posters of the film.
The film is set in the backdrop of Punjab and revolves around a love story filled with “syaapa”.
Sonam Kapoor in an interview with DNA talked about experimenting in her roles. She said, “I feel I have a safety net because of my dad. So I can experiment. But I also feel responsible. I know there are expectations and I just try to reach them.”
When asked about her brave choices, Sonam said, “I don’t consider my choices brave but just choices.” In fact, she went on to add, “That’s what I always say. I have the luxury of choice because of my dad. When I do have that, I need to take advantage of it.”
The film is produced and presented by Vidhu Vinod Chopra in association with Fox Star Studios and directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar. It is set to release on 1 February 2019.
