The musical nostalgia of the 90s was reignited on September 2 this year in Mumbai with Kumar Sanu’s “Do Pal.”

This romantic single, composed by Shiladitya Chaudhury and Som Chakraborty and written by Shabbir Khan, has been relaunched with a music video featuring Mou, Soniya Saha, Sanu Somnath, and Rajeev Saha.

“‘Do Pal,’ which is our first Hindi song together, was created while preserving the essence of the musical 90s era with a modern soundscape. The song has a lingering romantic tune, and Sanu Da has added the much-desired romantic charm to it, making him truly unparalleled,” said Shiladitya and Som, the music composer duo.

Som’s Harmony Entertainment handled the video production, while Rahul Saha skillfully edited the footage. The song was shot in the picturesque locations of West Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

Shiladitya Chaudhury and Som Chakraborty are two talented musicians who have been working in the industry for over two decades. Shiladitya has composed songs for albums and films, collaborating with legendary and contemporary singers such as Asha Bhonsle, Amit Kumar, Usha Uthup, Kumar Sanu, Abhijit, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Nachiketa Chakraborty, Raghab, Rupankar, and many others. Meanwhile, Som is one of the most sought-after music designers and composers in the city, having created popular tracks like “Khokababu Jaay,” “Coca Cola,” “Pyarelaal Re,” “It’s Only Pyaar,” “Loveria,” and “Thakurjamai” throughout his career.

Recently, Shiladitya and Som joined forces to compose music together. Their first song, “Brishti,” featuring Anwesshaa, has climbed the popularity charts. With their unique blend of melody and modern soundscapes, they excel at creating music across genres to cater to their audience.
