In a recent heartwarming revelation, celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani shared fond memories of capturing the essence of Hrithik Roshan in his very first portfolio shoot. The journey, as Ratnani described it, was a delightful blend of spontaneity and camaraderie.
Recalling the genesis of this artistic collaboration, Ratnani disclosed that he received an unexpected call from Hrithik long before he became the sensation with his debut in “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.”
Surprisingly, the actor didn’t disclose his identity as Rakesh Roshan’s son but instead reached out with a humble request for a portfolio session. With no studio at his disposal during those early days, Ratnani welcomed Hrithik into his own home for the shoot.

In a twist of fate, the photographer recounted how he instructed Hrithik to bring along a selection of clothes for the session. The actor arrived with a bag brimming with outfits, providing Ratnani the canvas to curate a visually captivating portfolio. Resourceful as ever, the photographer even borrowed some stylish jackets from a friend to enhance the visual appeal of Hrithik’s ensemble.
Reflecting on the shoot, Ratnani revealed that Hrithik’s urgency to capture the moment was palpable. Despite initial plans for an outdoor shoot, a sudden downpour disrupted their intentions. Rather than succumbing to the whims of the weather, Hrithik, in a display of unwavering determination, insisted on proceeding with the shoot on that very day.
Amidst laughter and reminiscence, Dabboo Ratnani recalled Hrithik Roshan’s humble request to delay the payment for a couple of days. Acknowledging their shared history as school seniors, the photographer graciously agreed, emphasizing that there was no rush.
