Dhirajlal Shah, the visionary producer behind Bollywood hits like “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy” and “Krishna,” has passed away in a Mumbai hospital. His brother, Hasmukh, revealed that Dhirajlal had been battling illness for the past few weeks, undergoing treatment for complications arising from COVID-19 followed by lung issues. Tragically, his health took a sharp downturn, leading to multi-organ failure.

Anil Sharma, recalling his collaboration with Dhirajlal, spoke fondly of him as not just a talented producer but also a kind-hearted individual who revolutionized the industry with his innovative approach to video distribution. Similarly, producer Harish Sughand remembered Dhirajlal’s transformative impact on the industry, especially with his acquisition of the video rights for iconic films like “Shahenshah,” which propelled him to the status of a video king.

The news of Dhirajlal’s passing spread quickly, prompting heartfelt tributes from colleagues and industry bodies alike. The Indian Film TV Producers Council shared a touching message on X, expressing deep condolences to Dhirajlal’s family and highlighting his contributions to cinema.
