Malaika Arora’s father called daughters before suicide: Mumbai Police
Bollywood star Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, has died in an alleged suicide. Mumbai Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Several celebrities gathered to comfort Malaika Arora following the death of her father, Anil Mehta. The emotional day unfolded with notable figures from the entertainment industry paying their respects at Malaika’s family home in Mumbai. Arjun Kapoor was seen escorting Malaika to her car.
Malaika’s close friends, Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor, also visited to offer their condolences, joining the list of well-wishers who came to support her during this difficult time.
Apart from Arjun Kapoor, the scene outside Malaika residence was marked by a steady stream of visitors, including members of the Khan family. Her ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, and his brother Sohail Khan, along with their parents, Salim and Salma Khan, were seen arriving at the home.

Earlier in the day, Malaika’s sister, Amrita Arora, and her husband, Shakeel Ladak, were also seen leaving the family home. Malaika, who had been in Pune when she received the news of her father’s death, hurried back to Mumbai.

The Mumbai Police have stated that, initially, Anil Mehta’s death appears to be a suicide. However, a thorough investigation is ongoing. DCP Crime Branch, Raj Tilak Roshan, shared that the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and both police and forensic teams are working to fully understand the circumstances surrounding his death.
Throughout the day, the atmosphere at the family home was somber yet filled with the supportive presence of friends and family.
