Raazi is not only winning rave reviews from critics but is also winning the hearts of the fans as the box office number speaks for itself.
The film’s storyline and Alia’s performance are the true gems of the film, which has helped to bring in the audience in cinema houses.
Raazi‘s opening day collection is also noteworthy because it has surpassed the first day collections of many multi-starrer and anticipated films like Aiyaary, October, Kaalakandi and Pari.
As of now the Raazi‘s opening day collection is among the best opening day figures of 2018 and grabs the fifth spot in the best openers of 2018.
Baaghi 2: Rs 26-crore
Padmaavat: Rs 19-crore
Pad Man: Rs 10.80-crore
Raid: Rs 10.10 crore
Raazi: Rs 7.53 crore
Considering the fact the film has released in a time when Avengers: Infinity War continues to dominate in India and 102 Not Out is steady at the box office, Raazi‘s opening day collections are considerably commendable given the amount of competition the film is facing at the box office.
Interestingly, Raazi is Alia’s best opener at the box office till date with her as the central character in the film.
With strong word of mouth and positive reception the film’s business is expected to grow over the weekend and it will be interesting to see the opening weekend collections of the film.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Raazi, also starring Vicky Kaushal, Soni Razadan, Rajit Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles was released worldwide on May 11.
