Alia Bhatt dazzled in an Ajrakh saree at a special award function held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 21. The actor was honored with the ‘Honorary Award’ at the Joy Awards 2024 for her remarkable contributions to the field of cinema.
Numerous pictures and videos capturing Alia’s presence at this year’s Joy Awards quickly became viral on social media. Adorned in an Ajrakh print saree paired with an off-the-shoulder top, the ‘Jigra’ actor exuded elegance. Her loosely tied hair and golden earrings completed the stylish ensemble.
Superstar Salman Khan also graced the international award ceremony in Riyadh, marking his second invitation to the Joy Awards. Social media was flooded with pictures and videos of Salman from the event, including a snapshot of him alongside ‘Hannibal’ actor Anthony Hopkins.
Salman looked dapper in a lavender shirt paired with a violet-grey suit, sporting a moustache and beard. Additionally, a trending video featured Alia Bhatt delivering her acceptance speech, expressing her gratitude for the love of cinema and the warmth she felt in Riyadh.
During her speech, Alia remarked, “It’s truly an extraordinary night. I’m obsessed with movies, it’s all I know. I’ve said this before, I think when I was born, I came out on ‘Lights, camera, action’. That’s how much cinema means to me.”
She continued, “If we are talking about joy, one of the greatest things in our lives is love. So tonight when I go back home, I take back with me the love of the movies and the love that I felt here in Riyadh. So thank you so much, and here’s to the magic of movies.”
Switching gears to her upcoming projects, Alia Bhatt will appear in director Vasan Bala’s next film, ‘Jigra’. Additionally, she has ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ in her pipeline, a film helmed by Farhan Akhtar and featuring Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. (ANI)
