Amid the shoot of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ featuring Akshay Kumar in Jordan, officials from the country opened up about what makes it a film-friendly hub.
In fact, Jordan, where they rarely speak Indian languages, has become a prominent destination for Indian film production. The film, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, is currently undergoing shooting at various exotic locations in Jordan.

The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) hosted a specialized media delegation from India during the filming of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ in locations such as Wadi Rum, Aqaba, and Amman.

During a recent press briefing, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director-General of JTB, highlighted how Jordan has emerged as a preferred shooting destination. He emphasized the importance of attracting global filmmakers to promote the country in marketing and tourism.
The Royal Film Commission (RFC) played a crucial role in supporting the Indian film by facilitating permits, identifying suitable filming locations, and streamlining customs clearance procedures for technical equipment.
Mohannad Al Bakri, Managing Director of RFC, noted the close connection between the tourism sector and the film industry. Filming in Jordan contributes significantly to showcasing its locations and culture, promoting the country as a tourist destination.
Raja Gargour, Chairman of Olivewood Film Studios, emphasized the historical filmmaking opportunities in Jordan and the pivotal role of Olivewood Studios in facilitating such opportunities. He highlighted the transformation of Jordan’s film and visual storytelling industry into a vital economic sector.
The Indian media delegation had the chance to visit tourist and historical sites in Jordan, along with meeting the team of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.’ Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F, the film’s actors, are also currently in Jordan for the shoot.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is set to release this Eid and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar.
