Banerjee’s character, Jana, has been a pivotal figure across Maddock’s supernatural offerings, serving as the humorous yet endearing thread that ties the films together.

His portrayal has earned him widespread acclaim, and the actor feels fortunate to be part of this genre.

“Each film in this universe brings something unique, but the blend of laughter and spine-tingling moments keeps audiences hooked,” Banerjee said in an earlier interview. “As an actor, I thrive on challenges, and these roles have pushed me to explore new dimensions in the horror-comedy space. Seeing audiences enjoy these films makes all the effort worthwhile.”

The most recent addition to Maddock’s supernatural universe, ‘Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank’, directed by Amar Kaushik, continues the thrilling narrative that began with ‘Stree’ in 2018. The film reunites Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana as they face a new menace—Sarkata, a headless entity abducting women in Chanderi.
