The film, set to release on February 7, explores the complexities of modern love and relationships in the digital age.
After watching a rough cut of ‘Loveyapa’, Aamir Khan shared his thoughts, calling it an entertaining and relatable story.
He remarked, “The film beautifully captures how smartphones and digital interactions influence our lives. All the actors have done an incredible job. When I watched Khushi Kapoor’s performance, I felt like I was watching Sridevi. Her energy and expressions reminded me so much of her mother’s brilliance.”
Aamir, who has long admired Sridevi’s artistry, spoke about her unique ability to transform in front of the camera. “I’ve always been a huge fan of Sridevi and wished I had the chance to work with her. She had an extraordinary talent that came alive when the camera rolled. Watching Khushi, I saw that same spark, and it was truly special,” he said.
Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, made her acting debut last year in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’, released on Netflix. That film also introduced Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, and Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan.
Khushi’s performance in ‘Loveyapa’ has already drawn attention, with many eager to see how she continues her mother’s legacy.
Despite stepping into the spotlight, Junaid Khan is known for his grounded lifestyle. Often spotted traveling in auto-rickshaws, he seems to embrace simplicity, much like his father during his early days in the industry.
Aamir humorously acknowledged this, saying, “We live a bit differently, but I did ask him to buy a car!”
Produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, ‘Loveyapa’ promises to be a heartfelt exploration of love’s complexities, blended with humor and charm.
The film’s title track, recently released, showcases the playful chemistry between Junaid and Khushi, highlighting their characters’ journey in the age of social media. Sung by Nakash Aziz and Madhubanti Bagchi, the song has been well-received.
The project has also received a warm reception from Bollywood’s biggest stars. Shah Rukh Khan shared his support on social media, describing the title track as “so sweet” and praising Junaid and Khushi for their performances.
Salman Khan also wished the team well, posting a clip of the song and expressing his excitement for the film.
