While Black Panther opened to universal praise, Aiyaary opened to mixed reviews and failed to create its impact at the box office in India.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Black Panther earned over Rs 24.81-crore (gross) while Aiyaary collected Rs 11.70-crore in the opening weekend.

Considering the fact Black Panther is a Marvel Entertainment’s film, the business was expected to be good. But, nobody would have imagined it would have affected Neeraj Pandey’s much-awaited espionage thriller.

Aiyaary featuring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role is his least impressive film since last August in terms of box office figures. His last two releases A Gentleman and Ittefaq had fared better.

Despite getting mixed reviews, this Neeraj Pandey film indeed failed to create history at the box office after two shifts in the release date. In the end, the spy thriller was defeated by the superhero Black Panther.

Coming back to Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, the film had an exceptional three days in India and now it’ll be interesting to see how the film performs in the first week. Also, it’s a crucial week for Aiyaary as if history is to be considered, all Pandey films starts at a slow pace but eventually do well at the box office.
