Last night, 14 January was the end of the 11th season of the reality show Bigg Boss. Salman Khan declared Shilpa Shinde as the winner of the Bigg Boss 11, which didn’t come as a surprise to most. Shilpa Shinde stayed in the house for 15 weeks and has become a household name since. Here are some of the lesser known facts about the winner of this season.
Shilpa Shinde started her career with a Bollywood film, titled Le Chal Mujhe Sang, 15 years ago. Back then, she was known as Akansha and was launched by Vijay Kondke.

Then she featured in Telugu film ‘Chinna’ produced by Dsari Narayana Rao.
Later, Shilpa was launched in television by Kunal Khemu’s father Ravi Khemu. The show aired on Doordashan was the tiltle Amrapali.
Shilpa went on to play the lead in TV serial ‘Maayka’ by replacing Soni and that was her big break.
She met Romit Raj her co-actor on the same show and later they got engaged too. However, the wedding was called off at the last moment.
She was also part of a TVshow ‘Chidiya Ghar’ where Shubhangi Atre replaced her.
After that Shilpa played Angoori Bhabi in popular show ‘Bhabi ji ghar par hain’. She was later replaced which turned into a big controversy and her co-participant in Bigg Boss 11, Vikas Gupta, was also involved in it.
