Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment, the film is a remake of the 2017 Spanish film The Invisible Guest (Contratiempo, 2016). Apart from swapping the gender of the main protagonists and a few other changes, the film more or less stays loyal to the original screenplay of Spanish writer-director Oriol Paulo.
