After a special screening for him recently, superstar Amitabh Bachchan became the first one to give a review on Irrfan Khan-starrer Blackmail. The actor seemed really impressed by the comedy-drama.

The makers of Blackmail not organised a special screening for Bollywood directors. Renowned filmmakers such as Amol Gupte, Tanuja Chandra, Meghna Gulzar, Rajkumar Hirani, Nishikant Kamat, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Sudhir Mishra, Sriram Raghavan, Ravi Udyawar, Rensil D’Silva, Mukesh Chabbra, Pradeep Sarkar and Soumik Sen attended the special screening of the film.

The attendees were impressed by the direction of Abhinay Deo and shared their thoughts on their Twitter handles.

Ashutosh Gowarikar’s tweet read: “An absolutely unpredictable film, this #Blackmai! Congrats #AbhinayDeo on your wicked direction!! Really enjoyed your ESCAPADE!

Meghna Gulzar tweeted: “#Blackमेल is twisted and terrific! Unguessable till the last turn. Superlative work by the entire team!”

Priya Gupta, the co-producer of the film Blackmail, posted a picture with directors at special screening. Her tweet read: “Directors are the toughest to please. ThankU so much for ur love!!! #Blackmail screening”

In March, Irrfan revealed that he has a rare disease neuroendocrine tumor, for which he is getting treated abroad.

Abhinay Deo’s directorial Blackmail also features Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao. The black comedy-drama film is slated to release on April 6.
