Ayesha Takia addresses online trolls with a graceful Instagram post, defending her appearance and calling out unrealistic beauty standards.
Bollywood actor Ayesha Takia is reportedly being stalked and has been receiving threatening messages from someone, and has husband Farhan Azmi has sought help.
Azmi posted a tweet on Tuesday saying his wife, mother and sisters were being harassed and accused a police officer of neglecting his calls and message.
He went on to request Prime Minister Narendra Modi and external Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to look into the matter.

The tweet read: “My wife @Ayeshatakia , mother & sisters are being harassed, threatened stalked by a litigant, @MumbaiPolice #dcpDahiya refusing to answer my calls or messages. #DahiyaIPS has illegally frozen our bank accounts Dear PM @narendramodi Ji @SushmaSwaraj Pls intervene!! #betibachao.”

He also took his conversation with the police officer, Deputy Commissioner Paramjit Singh Dahiya, to the micro-blogging site in his next post. Azmi wrote: “Dear Mr. Dahiya DCP ZONE 9, wake up, answer my calls and help us.”

Azmi also sought help from Twitter users as he wrote, “Dear Tweeple, help us get in touch with @MumbaiPolice.”

The issue was finally addressed after Farhan Azmi got a response from Deven Bharti, Joint Commissioner (Law & Order), Mumbai Police. Azmi shared the last tweet where he thanked Bharti for getting in touch with him. “Thank you @DevenBhartiIPS Ji #MumbaiPolice for stepping in.
