The legendary singer, known for her melodious voice, wore a beautiful floral cream saree for the occasion. During their interaction, Asha Bhosle treated the audience with a rendition of the timeless classic “Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar” from the 1961 film “Hum Dono.”
The meeting was documented by Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, who shared pictures on Instagram capturing heartwarming moments from the encounter. In one of the images, Amit Shah and Zanai were exchanging greetings with folded hands, showcasing a moment of mutual respect and admiration. Zanai, elegant in a suit, smiled as she greeted the Home Minister.
Expressing her joy and gratitude, Zanai captioned the post, “Fantastic way to start the day (folded hands emoji)!” She further shared the post on her Instagram Stories, describing the day as “Blessed.” Asha Bhosle also reposted the images on her Instagram profile, indicating the significance of the meeting to her.

During the meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled Asha Bhosle’s photobiography titled “Best of Asha,” a compilation of photographs capturing the singer’s illustrious career. The project, conceptualized and initiated by Mumbai BJP president and MLA Ashish Shelar, features images by renowned photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha. The book launch took place at Sahyadri Guest House, with Ashish Shelar and his wife Pratima Shelar, Zanai, Anand Bhosle, and other notable personalities in attendance.
The photographs from the event captured candid moments between the Home Minister and Asha Bhosle, showcasing their engaging conversations and shared enthusiasm for the book. The duo also posed together with the “Best of Asha” book.
