Crime Beat: Saqib Saleem, Saba Azad lead gripping thriller on ZEE5
The show follows the story of a young, rookie crime reporter struggling to establish his career and personal life. His big break comes when he stumbles upon a lead.
Video streaming service ZEE5 has released the trailer of its latest original series titled Poison. After the success of its recent shows like Rangbaaz, The Final Call, Abhay and Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, the platform is launching another show that looks gripping.
Starring Arbaaz Khan, Tanuj Virwani, Freddy Daruwala and Riya Sen in lead roles, the ten-episode web series premieres on 19th April. It also marks Arbaaz Khan’s digital debut.

The thriller-drama set in tropical Goa revolves around the drug business there and the hunger for power between two adversaries. The trailer shows two contenders, one of whom is Arbaaz Khan. In the gangster drama, Arbaaz is seen donning the slick mafia avatar in suits, while his rivals are in Hawaiin shirts dissolving well into the ambience of the setting of the show.

Speaking about the show, Director Jatin Wagle said, “The web medium has given wings to content that cannot be shown in two or three-hour format and needs a longer duration format to bring the story to life. I am glad that I had the backing of a platform like ZEE5 and the cast who had the confidence to present the show the way I had envisioned it.”
Archana Anand, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 Global also shared her excitement about the upcoming show.

Poison is produced by Altus Media and written by Shiraz Ahmed.
