He needed hundred rupees and borrowed it from his mother saying he needed it for a picnic. He then went to Chandigarh and got selected there. He was a teacher for two years before he saw an advertisement that a drama school in Mumbai was employing new talented teachers. In his quest to pursue his dreams the actor then moved to the city of dreams but it was not easy.
When he came to Mumbai, he had no money and was given a small space to teach and a tiny room to live in. But he never gave up. He stayed back in Mumbai auditioning and performing in plays. At one point of time he had to live on beaches and sleep on the railway platforms.
