Nana Patekar critiques Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’; ‘Only Anil Kapoor’s performance was restrained’
Nana Patekar shares his review of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal.' Notably, he is all-praises for Anil Kapoor, his co-star from ‘Welcome.’
Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are reuniting after they did in Satish Kaushik’s Hamara Dil Aapke Pass Hai. They are making a comeback in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s production, Fanne Khan.
In the latest reports, it has been said that Anil Kapoor is all set to play a younger version of him. He will reportedly play 22-year-old in the film and has already shot the scenes. In the film, he is essaying the role a failed singer. In the flashback scenes, he will be seen playing 20-something age.
The film is based on a Dutch film Everybody’s Famous, which is about a man who takes an extreme step to fulfill his daughter’s dream.

Also, a source added that work on the film has been wrapped up now. Only a romantic song featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao is yet to be shot.
Anil Kapoor has shredded stereotypes, putting on weight. Perhaps for the first time ever, a mainstream film star has consciously decided to portray a fat man on screen in a bold departure from typecasting, Anil Kapoor played an obese do-gooder in Satish Kaushika’s Badhai Ho Badhai.
Age reduction technique through VFX has been used in many Hollywood films. Even Ali Abbas Zafar is trying to do same with Salman Khan starrer Bharat.
Directed by Atul Manjrekar, the film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as a diva singer with Rajkummar Rao playing her love interest. Divya Dutta will play the role of Anil Kapoor’s wife.
The film is scheduled for release on July 13, 2018.
