Amitabh Bachchan is one actor who is always very encouraging to his juniors and now we know where he gets it from. The iconic actor keeps sending a token of appreciation to the actors from the industry for their marvelous performance. Recently, he sent handwritten letters to Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone for their performance in Padmaavat. Both of them shared it on the social media and accepted the honour of being appreciated by the brilliant actor.
Today Amitabh Bachchan became nostalgic as his film Black completed 13 years of release. The actor posted a picture on Twitter and wrote,’13 YEARS of my film ‘BLACK’ .. an incredible experience! still haunts me in extraordinary memory and detail of working with the genius of SLB .. the Bhansali !!
Black released in 2005 with a star cast of Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji. Directed by Sanjay Lela Bhansali, the film came up with an unconventional story of a deaf and dumb girl’s relationship with her teacher. Big B also posted a picture of acclamation it received in form of awards. The tweet read, and the accolades for the film BLACK and the recognition never ever fades .. humbled honored and blessed .. national award and many others .. Salman and Hollywood actor, too .. and the family at the National Awards .. they the best.’
But the best part about his tweets today was the letter he shared written by the legendary actor Dilip Kumar. Amitabh Bachchan recollected the memory of receiving a letter from the actor appreciating his performance. He admitted that it was the best compliment that he has received, Big B wrote,’13 Years of BLACK .. and the greatest compliment from my idol Dilip Saheb, Dilip Kumar – Yusuf Khan ! .. the history of the Indian Film Industry shall always be referred to as ‘.. before Dilip Kumar; and after Dilip Kumar ..’
The veteran actor Dilip Kumar wrote for Amitabh Bachchan, “In recent times, I can remember Black and, if I remember right, Saira and I were at a loss for words at the premiere night, after the curtain came down, to express our myriad feelings of admiration for your outstanding performance. It is a pity the film missed the Oscar nomination. If any Indian actor, in my personal opinion, deserves the world’s most coveted award, it is you.”
Amitabh Bachchan shared the screen with Dilip Kumar in Ramesh Sippy’s film Shakti, in which Dilip Kumar played the role of a cop. On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
