‘Joker’ threequel: Director Todd Phillips weighs in on future plans

The trailer of the much-awaited Warner Bros film Joker is out. Starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead, the film is directed by Todd Phillips, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver. The 2-minutes 24-seconds trailer revolves around the life of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a miserable stand-up comedian whose failed attempts to become popular force him into the criminal underworld of Gotham City. This is completely a different take on the origin of DC Comics’ most terrifying villain.
The film seems to be an in-depth study of the joker and an analysis of his dark past. The film stars Dante Pereira Olson, who portrays Bruce Wayne and Douglas Hodge, who will play the role of butler Alfred Pennyworth also feature in the trailer.

The film chronicles the origins of Batman’s notorious arch-enemy.
Meanwhile, Taran Adarsh has also released the first look posters of the Joker on his social media account. The film will hit the big screens on 4th October 2019.
