The recently released trailer of the film shows Akshay donning a huge turban and tackling the Afghan army with unmatched grit. The three-minute trailer gave a glimpse of the tale of the Sikh soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

In the film, Akshay will be seen essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought thousands of Afghani tribesmen.
Kesari will star Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay Kumar. The film will be produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Reliance Entertainment. It is scheduled to release on 21 March 2019.
