Director Akshay K Agarwal feels elated for getting to shoot with legendary actors Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lahri in a special music video ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

For the song Humare Ram Aaye Hai, the three Ramayan actors who portrayed Ram, Sita, and Laxman, respectively, are getting back together on film after 35 years. The video, which was filmed over three days in Ayodhya, is about celebration.

“Laxman, Sita, and Ram have arrived at Ayodhya, which is erupting with joy. We have made an effort to demonstrate that these legendary figures still live today in human form. We’re not presenting them in any conventional avatar,” Agarwal declared, revealing that Ayodhya is dressed up in the video before they arrive.

Agarwal, who has previously helmed music videos for movies like Ganraj and Wo Ishq, continued by saying that even though the three actors were experienced, they were open to suggestions and had faith in a new director like him. “Working with them was a blessing. They are like God to us. They have a great deal of obligation. However, they welcomed the sharing of ideas,” he remarked.

Even if controlling the throng was difficult, it was easy to understand why the audience loved the three symbols. “Even 60–70 security personnel couldn’t manage the crowd,” the director revealed. I had to individually ask those who were folding their hands to let us photograph. Finally, with Lord Ram’s help, we succeeded. Even the police in Ayodhya provided great support.

He claims that Sonu Nigam’s soothing voice, which appeals to all age groups, made him an ideal option to perform the song. But he clarified that adding a nostalgic touch to the video does not limit its viewership.

Most people have seen Ramayan. They know it, even if they haven’t. And the relevance of it is shown in our video. “People will be bound by only one song,” he continued.

In addition to his work directing TV shows and commercials, Agarwal has directed songs for a number of singers and artists, such as Ankit Tiwari, Mamta Sharma, Ash King, and Javed Ali. In actuality, millions of people have watched numerous of his films on YouTube.
