‘Satya’ re-release: Manoj Bajpayee & Urmila’s iconic comeback to theatres!
Ram Gopal Varma's cult classic 'Satya' (1998) is set to return to theatres, celebrating 25 years of its iconic portrayal of Mumbai's underworld.
Neeraj Pandey’s latest espionage thriller starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee has failed to make an impact at the box office in an unimpressive opening week.
Aiyaary, which is based on patriotism and espionage, opened to mixed to negative reviews from the critics and fans, which in turn affected its box office figures.

Despite facing no clash and rigorous promotions, the film only collected Rs 16-crore in the first week, which is way less than what trade pundits expected.

According to reports, the film was expected to gross at least Rs 50-crore in the opening week for many reasons.
The film’s key aspects, which made it one of the most anticipated films of 2017, included Pandey’s direction, the subject of the film and the fresh pairing of Sidharth and Bajpayee. But nothing actually worked in favour of the film as Aiyaary‘s box office figures are nowhere near the collection of films like Padmaavat and Pad Man.
Aiyaary’s started to witness a downfall right after the first day of the release of the film. Here is a breakdown of the film’s collection so far;
Friday: Rs 3.36-crore
Saturday: Rs 4.05-crore
Sunday: Rs 4.35-crore
Monday: Rs 1.43-crore
Tuesday: Rs 1.10-crore
Wednesday: Rs 1.05-crore
Thursday: Rs 1-crore
After analysing the statistics, it’s quite safe to say that Aiyaary won’t make it to the Rs 100-crore club and it would be a surprise to see if the film even grosses Rs 50-crore in India.
