Mexican actor-director Gael Garcia Bernal took a stand against the US President Donald Trump's controversial immigration policies, saying as a human being he was against "any kind of wall that wants to separate us."
Bernal and Hailee Steinfeld took to the Oscars stage as presenters and the actor-director, who is a famous global name, chose this opportunity to address the divisive policies of Trump, who had promised to build a wall between Mexico and the US.

"Flesh and blood actors are migrant workers… we travel all over the world, we construct stories, we build lives that cannot be divided. As Mexican, Latin-American migrant worker and as a human being I am against any kind of wall that wants to separate us," Bernal said amid cheers from the Hollywood audience.
