Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has been criticised for his acting skills quite a few times, opened up about an incident when he was slapped by a woman outside a cinema hall. Amid all the debates over nepotism, the 42-year-old actor shared his experience trying to describe the pressure on star kids.

During a conversation at the Jagran Film Summit, the Manmarziyaan actor narrated the incident when he was slapped by a woman during the screening of Shararat in 2002. The woman allegedly smacked him for “embarrassing” his family.

“It was a tough time. I had once gone to Gaiety Galaxy to see how my film (Shararat) was doing; a lady came out and slapped me and said you’re embarrassing your family’s name, stop acting. Thankfully, I’m able to laugh about it today, but at that point, it was not a very good feeling,” the actor said.

Abhishek Bachchan has often been trolled on social media as he gets slammed for his performances and even for living with his parents.

Recently, a Twitter user tried to establish that Manmaarziyaan suffered at the Box Office because of Abhishek Bachchan. He went on to suggest that star kids should open vada pav stalls.

“#Manmarziyaan tanked at box-office, once again proving @juniorbachchan to be legend with amazing ability to make good film a flop! Kudos to his abilities, not many have it! It time to end #nepotism and for #StarKids to start #Vadapav stall..lol! #Stree proves #TalentCounts!” the tweet read.

The Dhoom actor, who has schooled such trolls on social media previously, did not let this go. Bachchan took to Twitter and gave him a befitted reply. “With all due respect kind sir, I would expect an esteemed doctor such as yourself to study all the facts and figures before proclaiming anything. I certainly hope you do so with your patients. Learn the economics of the film before you tweet something that will embarrass you,” he wrote in his tweet.

In his follow-up tweet, he wrote, “And for your kind information ( and I’m sure all vada pav stall owners will agree) there is great dignity in owning and running a vada pav stall. It’s called dignity of labour. Try not to be so patronising about another professional. We are all doing our best.”

Abhishek even went on to mention, as the Twitter user claims that Stree proves that talent counts, the film too feature a ‘star kid’ that is Shraddha Kapoor, daughter of Shakti Kapoor.

“And to end with… One of the actors in the immensely entertaining Stree happens to be a “star kid”. Have a good day and here’s hoping you spend more time on being the best doctor you can be instead of trying to be and industry analyst! Coz as you said #TalentCounts,” the tweet read.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan would be starring in Anurag Kashyap’s next film Gulab Jamun, alongside his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
