This plot led to an outrage on social media and sparked a controversy, people even demanded an apology from the actress. Although, Priyanka decided to keep mum on the issue but ABC apologised for evoking such emotions among people. ABC is a statement said, “The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it.”
The 35-year-old actress faced a major backlash on social media, here is how the Tweeple reacted.
GOI should cancel @priyankachopra passport & should not allow her to enter our nation. We dont want this “Desi Girl” who desires to frame great India as a Terrorist state on International platform . Let her stay in Hollywood & lick Pakistan boots . Traitor #Quantico

What the hell was this episode of #Quantico .. they tried to show ‘Indian nationalists’ (their term) trying to blow up Manhattan to frame Pakistan.. I don’t even know what sort of ridiculous narrative was this episode trying to set.. nonsensical stuff..

Priyanka Chopra would’ve been running for her life, begging for forgiveness if Indian Hindu Nationalists were indeed Terrorists. Instead she can afford to stay arrogant & not even apologize for building a false narrative in Quantico.
Hindus are the most Tolerant folks.#Quantico
