Punjab CM greets people on Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravi Dass
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on 648th Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidass.
It was also decided to chalk out a joint strategy of the states to check the supply of drugs by the drug mafia and sharing of information about POs and involvement of foreign nationals in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.

In the wake of the Lok Sabha elections, the Himachal police, along with the police of the neighbouring states, has stepped up the arrangements to conduct free and fair elections.
During an inter-state meeting held on Thursday with the police of the neighbouring states and Union Territories headed by Director General of Police SR Mardi, the poll arrangements were also reviewed.

In the meeting, it was decided to strengthen the inter-state barriers and installation of CCTV cameras, sharing of information about proclaimed offenders (POs) and inter-state criminals, sharing of information on smuggling of drugs, liquor and illegal weapons so as to curb crime.

It was also decided to depute a nodal officer for sharing and exchange of information at the state police headquarter level. With an objective to curb smuggling of drugs, it was decided to exchange information about the smuggling of drugs and organised drug network.
It was also decided to chalk out a joint strategy of the states to check the supply of drugs by the drug mafia and sharing of information about POs and involvement of foreign nationals in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
They have also decided to develop a Mobile App for sharing of secret inputs without disclosure of identity.
The police heads and officials who participated from the neighbouring states and UTs include Punjab, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Chandigarh.
